bored, sick and bedridden, I finally sorted out my four email accounts. i deleted nearly 3000 messages, created filters and decided on relevant folders for the remaining lot. but most importantly, unsunscribed from over 60 email alerts and the like.

so in case you were wondering how to quickly declutter your inbox:

-view emails in FROM order
-create a folder called SORT
-move one email from each sender you want to unsunscribe from to that SORT folder
-check all (the remaining) emails and delete them
-go through all your inbox pages using this method
-create filters for the emails you want to keep (in your account settings)
-open the SORT folder
-open every email, scroll down and click on UNSUNSCRIBE or something along those lines and follow the instructions (if there are any)
